Chirp

Yay! A new 'painted' picture! I'll try and finish my art trades tonight, you guys. ^^

Doop doop! Changed the title because it reminded me too much of language arts class. Chirping because that little guy likes to chirp. Yup.


This is a sort of concept art for a noontime storm in the 'dark world'. I'm in the process of renaming it , as it's evolved a lot, but I'll probably still use the name for specifically describing the dark parts of it. My brother Sam, Silvy, and I started the whole thing a year or two ago. I came up with the animals and dark concept as an idea for what to play in the dark outside, and Silvy thought up of how their could be people in it with domes and stuff. It was pretty awesome! I've decided, though, to branch off my own way with some of the creatures and concepts to make my own world thing-a-ma-bob.

This depicts the Northern Plains region of the planet, which is primarily inhabited by a certain Tetraud (animals like Dewi) pictured in the bottom right. I'm not too positive on its scientific name yet, but for now the second part is millitrittilo, meaning a thousand chirps, as this species has very complex vocal skills. I originally based its design off of the New Zealand lesser short-tailed bat in my animal book. Pretty obscure, huh?
